October - Halloween Fun and More!

We have had a fun October! It started out with going to Port Farms (a fun pumpkin patch) with some friends here in Erie. As I already blogged, we then had Grandma CoCo and Kristin visit. We then ventured out to trick or treat at the mall (an adventure all in itself that we won't do next year). More candy from trunk or treat at church. We were excited to have more visitors when Grandma and Grandpa Dow came to visit and were here for Halloween! The girls of course were spoiled and enjoyed every second of it. We are now in grandparent detox with our kids. And finally we were able to trick or treat - for real this time around. Addie had been waiting all month for that. We have so many pictures that I thought I'd make a slide show so I didn't have to pick just a few.

You'll have to notice Addie posing in her costume. She's into posing and having me take pictures of her. I never tell her to pose or how to pose so it's a little scary when you see how she stands. Enjoy. :)

Happy 6 Months Olivia!

I can't believe my sweet baby Olivia is already 6 months old. We have had so much fun with her and I'm trying to figure out what happened to my "little" baby. She can now roll over, giggle, eat cereal and loves to play with toys (especially her exersaucer). I thought I'd share this sweet video of her laughing. Don't mind Addie in the video wanting equal time. She is a great big sister and loves Olivia but she still wants ALL of the attention. :)

Our House In Erie

Several of my family and friends have asked me to post pictures of our house here in Erie. I have been really lazy about taking pictures because I'm not done decorating it - but my sister took some pictures while she was here so I thought I'd post those few.

We Love Our Family

My mom and my sister Kristin came to visit us last week. We had so much fun checking out Erie, visiting Kirtland and going to Niagara Falls. We also ate WAY too much junk food and caught up on the latest movies. It was a blast. I was so glad that Kristin was able to sneak away from her five kids to come spend a few days with us (Thanks Haavard!). And as always, we had lots of fun with Grandma CoCo. Although Addie got some new squeaky shoes from Grandma and she wants to wear them everywhere. Thanks Grandma! :) Here are a few pictures from their trip.

Don't Eat Dad!

We were eating dinner last night and I did something that I hate - I was picking food out of my teeth. Nick said to me "You'd eat me alive if I did that at the dinner table." I told him that I would eat him alive. Addie looked at me really concerned and said "Don't eat my dad, MOM! He's my favorite dad. I LOVE him." It was really funny. She didn't understand why I was laughing so hard at her. Oops I guess we'll have to watch what we say. She takes things a little too literally.

A Visit From Our Favorite Heather

Okay, so I hope I don't know any other Heather's who are going to send me hate mail but we did have a visit from our favorite Heather - just ask Addie. She told me the whole time we were driving to and from meeting Heather "Mom, Heather's my favorite!" And she is. We were so excited that she and Mike were so close to Erie and that she was willing to come and see us. So thanks Heather. It was so fun to see you. I'll still keep my fingers crossed that you might live close by us next year. We would love that!

And what's another post without a picture of Olivia and Addie. I bought this cute little outfit for Olivia when I was shopping with Heather. I think she looks so cute!

Last Saturday, Sister Beck came and spoke in Pittsburgh. I got to leave the girls with Nick and have a girls day out with some friends from the ward. Nick was so excited that he could stay home and that the University of Utah game was on TV. I came home to this picture and Addie now yelling Go Utes! I'm trying to train her back to Go Cougars! Thanks to Grandma CoCo, who didn't want to ruffle any feathers with Nick, she is fully stocked with Utah and BYU gear.

Random Pictures

I thought I'd post some more random pictures of our girls. They are so much fun and keep us laughing all the time.

Olivia still has her big blue eyes. Maybe I might end up with a blue eyed girl. Her hair is also so much lighter than Addie's was at this age. She is getting so strong and can roll from her back to front now. How is she getting so big already?!

Okay, so another scary picture of Addie. What can I say - she's a girl and she likes to pose. She got a new outfit (which she'll tell you is from Old Navy if you ask her) and she wanted a picture specifically for her Aunt Kristin. Sorry - Aunt Kristin is the favorite right now since she's coming to see us.Olivia experienced her first bath with her big sister. I'm not sure if she'll ever be the same. Addie has a blast - Olivia wasn't sure what to think. At least she didn't cry.

Addie was so excited to wear her cheerleading outfit. Some of our friends had us over for the BYU football game. She looked so cute.

Okay, so this is Addie's new obsession lately. She has to bring down all of her stuffed animals and line them up on the couch and asks me to take a picture. It honestly happens a couple times a day.And then she'll grab whatever she can to make a "train" across the floor in the front room. If you look closely, you can see the phone, wipes and even Olivia's toys make up the train. It is the weirdest thing but it makes her happy.
