Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam. . .

I can't believe it. My little girl is officially a sunbeam. And she couldn't be happier about it. She loves every second of Primary. She tells me every Sunday what she learns in both classes (sharing time and class time) and she loves singing time. I love hearing the new songs that she learns each week. I guess I'm the only one who thinks she's too little to be in Primary. She can't wait to get bigger and I just want to keep her small.

Christmas 2008

Okay, it's time to finally get it together and get caught up with at least our Christmas trip. I'm too cold freezing in Erie to accomplish anything else. :) We spent Christmas this year in Utah with our families. It was so much fun. 4 of my 5 siblings were all in town (which is a near miracle to get us all together at the same time since 4 of us live out of state). We spent Christmas Eve with my family and had our traditional meal and program. And we spent Christmas Day with Nick's family and had their traditional brunch. Time flew by way too fast and we just had too much fun with everyone there. Addie was in heaven and so were we. Thanks mom and dad and Shauna and Randy for everything. We miss living by family.

Santa came to visit my mom's street this year. It was magical. There was so much snow and they pulled him on a sled (trailer) behind a truck. We were so happy he had time to stop by. Here's a little bit of the excitement. Oh, and for those of you who don't know, my brother in-law Greg for some weird reason started calling me Dina a few years ago. I'm not sure how it started but that's what he and his kids call me. :)

Happy Birthday Addie - 3 Years Old!

Addie turned 3 in December. We celebrated by having a Dora party (at her request). She named all of her friends that she wanted to come and it was her first "real" birthday party. We had a Dora adventure where Boots was lost and we had to follow the map to find him. Each child had their own backpack with their map and tools to help them find Boots. They even had to watch out for Swiper along the way. She loved every second of it which made it all worthwhile.

Fall Fun

We had a lot of fun with the leaves from the HUGE trees in our neighborhood. It wasn't as much fun to clean up the mess as it was to just jump in the big pile of leaves. This is Addie's example of how to jump in the leaves. Sadly, it didn't take much for Nick to talk me into it.

And this is how we got rid of all of the leaves afterwards. Addie loved her job of stomping them down in the trash can.

Catch Up Time. . .

Okay, so now that Christmas is over, it's time for me to get caught up on the last couple of months. Time just flies by over the holidays and I can't believe it's January 2009. In October, Nick's parents came out to visit us. We had lot of fun. We showed them around Erie and made it over to Kirtland to do a church tour and Randy even got to see New York. I don't think he realized that when we said New York was 20 minutes away, it was New York state and not New York City. I'm not sure he was impressed. :) And of course, we only have a few pictures but here's a one of them at Kirland and one at Presque Isle.

October - Halloween Fun and More!

We have had a fun October! It started out with going to Port Farms (a fun pumpkin patch) with some friends here in Erie. As I already blogged, we then had Grandma CoCo and Kristin visit. We then ventured out to trick or treat at the mall (an adventure all in itself that we won't do next year). More candy from trunk or treat at church. We were excited to have more visitors when Grandma and Grandpa Dow came to visit and were here for Halloween! The girls of course were spoiled and enjoyed every second of it. We are now in grandparent detox with our kids. And finally we were able to trick or treat - for real this time around. Addie had been waiting all month for that. We have so many pictures that I thought I'd make a slide show so I didn't have to pick just a few.

You'll have to notice Addie posing in her costume. She's into posing and having me take pictures of her. I never tell her to pose or how to pose so it's a little scary when you see how she stands. Enjoy. :)

Happy 6 Months Olivia!

I can't believe my sweet baby Olivia is already 6 months old. We have had so much fun with her and I'm trying to figure out what happened to my "little" baby. She can now roll over, giggle, eat cereal and loves to play with toys (especially her exersaucer). I thought I'd share this sweet video of her laughing. Don't mind Addie in the video wanting equal time. She is a great big sister and loves Olivia but she still wants ALL of the attention. :)
